Life Path Tarot Spread: What It Is and How It Can Help You Find Your Purpose

Okay, so yesterday I tried this thing called a “life path tarot spread.” I’d heard about it and figured, why not give it a shot? I’m not really into all that mystical stuff, but I’m open to trying new things. Plus, I was feeling a bit lost and was curious to see what this tarot thing was all about.

First, I had to get my hands on some tarot cards. I borrowed a deck from my friend Sarah, she’s way into this kind of thing. The cards looked pretty cool, I gotta admit, all those symbols and pictures. Then, I looked up how to actually do this “spread” thing online. Turns out, it’s just a fancy way of saying how you lay out the cards.

So, I cleared off my kitchen table, made sure I had enough space, and started shuffling the cards like I’d seen in movies. I tried to focus on my life, you know, what I want, where I’m going, all that deep stuff. It felt a bit silly at first, but I went with it.

I laid out the cards according to the instructions I found. Each position is supposed to represent something different, like your “life purpose” or “challenges” or something along those lines. As I turned over each card, I tried to interpret the images and see how they might relate to my life. And I had to look up online what each card meant.

Honestly, some of it was a bit of a stretch. Like, one card showed a guy hanging upside down, and apparently, that means “seeing things from a different perspective.” Okay, I can kind of see that. Another card had a tower getting struck by lightning, which is supposed to symbolize “sudden change.” That one freaked me out a little, not gonna lie. After I looked at all the cards in my spread, I had to write out what I thought they meant for me. That took awhile.

  • The first card I drew was all about my “life purpose.” It showed a person standing at a crossroads, which made sense to me. I do feel like I’m at a point in my life where I need to make some big decisions. I’ve been feeling confused and thought this meant I was going in the right direction.
  • The second card was supposed to represent my “challenges.” I got some card with a devil on it, which initially scared me. But after reading about it, it seems like it’s more about facing my inner fears and limitations. I definitely have those, so that resonated with me.
  • The third one was about my “strengths.” I got a card with a sun on it, which felt pretty good. It’s supposed to mean optimism and vitality. I like to think of myself as a positive person, so that was nice to see.
  • The last card was a bit vague, something about my “potential.” It showed a figure reaching for the stars. I guess it means I have a lot of potential, which is encouraging, but it didn’t really give me any concrete answers. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what that card means.

Overall, it was an interesting experience. I’m not sure if I believe in the tarot’s ability to predict the future or anything, but it did make me think about my life in a new way. I realized I had some things I needed to work through. It was kind of like a therapy session, but with pretty cards instead of a therapist. I might even try it again sometime, just for fun. Maybe next time I’ll have Sarah do it for me, she’s the expert after all.
