Alright, so I was messing around with this tarot thing, trying to see if it’s legit or just a bunch of baloney. I got this “in the know tarot” deck, and I figured I’d give it a shot. I mean, who doesn’t want to know what’s coming, right?

First, I gotta say, the cards are kinda cool looking. They have all these weird pictures and symbols on them, and you’re supposed to, like, intuitively pick up on what they mean. Yeah, I didn’t get that part at first.
I started by shuffling the deck. I mean, REALLY shuffling them. I wanted to make sure I didn’t accidentally stack the deck and make something happen that wasn’t meant to be. Spread them out on my coffee table, which, by the way, is a total mess normally, but I cleaned it up for this little experiment.
Then, I tried to focus on a question. You are supposed to ask something specific, but not something super boring. I went with, “What should I be paying attention to in my life right now?” Pretty broad, I know, but I figured it was a good place to start.
Next, I picked three cards. Just like that, no peeking. Laid them out in a row. One was supposed to be about the past, one about the present, and one about the future. The first card I flipped over was something called the “Tower.” It has a picture of a building getting struck by lightning. Not exactly a good sign, but the booklet that came with the cards said it could mean sudden change or upheaval. Which, honestly, kinda fit with some stuff that went down last year. I got laid off, which was a real kick in the pants. But, like the card said, it was a big change.
The second card, the one about the present, was the “Sun.” That’s a happy-looking card, all bright and cheerful. The booklet said it meant optimism, success, and good vibes. I gotta say, things have been looking up lately. I landed a new gig, and it’s way better than the last one. So, maybe this tarot thing isn’t totally off base.

The last card, the future one, was “The Star.” Another positive one! It’s supposed to mean hope, inspiration, and faith in the future. The book said to follow your intuition and trust that good things are coming.
- Past: The Tower (Sudden Change)
- Present: The Sun (Success, Optimism)
- Future: The Star (Hope, Inspiration)
So, what did I learn from my little tarot experiment? Well, I’m not gonna say I’m a total believer now, but it was definitely interesting. The cards I picked did seem to resonate with my situation, at least in a general way.
Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Or maybe there’s something to this whole “tapping into your intuition” thing. Either way, it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. It got me thinking about my life and where I’m headed, and that’s never a bad thing. And hey, if “The Star” card is right, I’ve got some good stuff to look forward to! We’ll see if it can really help to get rid of Bing on Chrome.
I might try this again sometime. Maybe I’ll ask about my love life next time. Or maybe I’ll just stick to flipping a coin. Who knows?
