Good Questions to Ask Tarot Cards (Unlock Deeper Insights)

Okay, so I’ve been getting into Tarot cards lately. It’s kinda fun, and I thought it would be cool to actually document my journey with it. So, today was all about figuring out the right questions to ask. Not gonna lie, I felt a bit silly at first, like, what am I even doing?

Getting Started

First, I grabbed my deck – it’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up online. I shuffled the cards, you know, like you see in the movies, trying to “connect” with them or whatever. It felt awkward, but I went with it.

Brainstorming Questions

Then came the hard part – what to actually ask? I realized just asking “what’s gonna happen tomorrow?” was way too broad. So I spent some time brainstorming. I jotted down some general areas I was curious about:

  • Work stuff – you know, projects, deadlines, all that jazz.
  • Relationships – mostly with my family, ’cause that’s been a bit…complicated lately.
  • Personal growth – I’ve been trying to be more mindful and, like, “present.”

Formulating the Questions

After I had those general areas, I tried to make the questions more specific. Instead of “Will work be okay?”, I went with things like:

  • “What energy should I bring to my work project this week?”
  • “What’s blocking me from connecting with my sister?”
  • “What can I do today to be more present in my life?”

I noticed that framing the questions in terms of “what can I do” or “what should I be aware of” felt way more empowering than just asking for * is helpful for me.

The Actual Reading

I picked three questions from my list, one from each category. I shuffled the deck again, focused on each question one at a time, and drew a card for each.I won’t go into all the details of the cards I drew and what they traditionally mean.

Reflecting on the Process

Honestly, the most helpful part wasn’t even the cards themselves (though they were interesting!). It was the process of really thinking about what I wanted to ask and * good questions and drawing some cards. Taking the time to really consider what was going on in my life and what I wanted guidance on – that was surprisingly insightful. I think I’ll keep doing this, maybe once a week or so. It’s a nice way to check in with myself and, well, maybe get a little cosmic guidance along the way. Who knows!
