Okay, so I’ve been diving into this whole “dream interpretation” thing lately, and it’s wild. I decided to focus on one specific element – eyes. I mean, eyes are the windows to the soul, right? So, what do they mean in our dreams?
My DIY Dream Journal
First, I grabbed a cheap notebook and started jotting down every dream I could remember. It didn’t matter if it was super vivid or just a blurry fragment. Every morning, I’d wake up and, before even reaching for my phone, I’d write down anything I could recall. This was tougher than I thought! Some mornings, it was like my brain had wiped itself clean.
Focusing on the Eyes
Then, I went through my notes and highlighted any time eyes showed up. Sometimes it was my own eyes, sometimes someone else’s, and sometimes… just disembodied eyes. Creepy, I know!
- One dream had me staring into my own eyes in a mirror, but they were, like, glowing red. Super intense.
- Another time, I remembered seeing a friend, but their eyes were completely black, like voids. Seriously unsettling.
- Then there was this weird one where I was just looking at a giant, single eye floating in the sky. No idea.
Digging for Meanings
After I had a decent collection of eye-related dream snippets, I started doing some research. Not deep, scholarly stuff, mind you – just browsing some websites and dream dictionaries. Trying to find stuff that match the notes that I already have.
I was trying to match the feeling of the dream with what I was reading. Like, the red glowing eyes felt angry and powerful, so I looked for interpretations related to those emotions.
Putting It All Together
It’s still a work in progress, but it’s been really interesting! It’s not about finding one “right” answer, but more about exploring what my subconscious might be trying to tell me. It’s like learning a new language, the language of my own mind.
The glowing red eyes? I think that might be about some unresolved anger I’m dealing with. The black, void-like eyes? Maybe feeling disconnected from that friend. And the giant floating eye? Your guess is as good as mine! Still working on that one.
It’s all super personal, and what eyes mean in my dreams might be totally different from what they mean in yours. But it’s been a cool little self-discovery project, and I’m definitely going to keep at it!
