Easy Tarot Questions: What to Ask for Clear Readings!

So, I’ve been getting into Tarot lately, you know, just for fun and a little self-reflection. I figured I’d actually try to structure my readings a bit, instead of just pulling cards randomly. I decided to work on formulating some specific questions. It’s harder than it sounds!

First, I grabbed my notebook and pen – gotta write this stuff down, or I’ll forget. Then I started brainstorming general areas I wanted to explore. Things like “work,” “relationships,” and “personal growth” came to mind.

But those are way too broad, right? The cards would probably just give me some vague, general answer. So I tried to break it down.

Diving Deeper into the Questions

  • Work: Instead of “How’s my work life going?”, I came up with things like:
    • “What’s the biggest challenge I’m facing at work right now?”
    • “What steps can I take to improve my relationship with my boss/coworkers?”
    • “What am I not seeing about my current career path?”

See? Much more specific. I did the same for the other categories.

  • Relationships: I moved from “How are my relationships?” to:
    • “What can I do to better support my partner/friend/family member?”
    • “What am I bringing to my relationships, both positive and negative?”
    • “What underlying issues are affecting my relationships?”
  • Personal Growth:
    • “What am I resisting that I need to accept?”
    • “What skills can I develop to feel more fulfilled?”
    • “What is my biggest strength, and how can I use it more?”

I spent a good hour just scribbling down ideas, crossing them out, and rephrasing them. It was actually a pretty good exercise in itself, just thinking about what I really wanted to know.

Finally, I picked three questions that felt the most relevant to me right now, grabbed my deck, and did a reading. It felt way more focused and insightful than my usual haphazard approach. I think this whole “asking the right questions” thing is going to be a game-changer for my Tarot practice.

I definitely recommend giving this a try if you’re into Tarot. It’s a bit of work upfront, but it makes the whole experience much more rewarding. Trust me on that!
