Okay, so today I decided to mess around with Tarot cards, specifically focusing on the number 8. I’ve always been curious about Tarot, but never really did anything with it, you know? So, I figured, why not start today?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my deck – it’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up a while back. I shuffled the cards a few times, just trying to get a feel for them. Honestly, I was a little nervous, like I was about to do something super important.

Making Connections
After staring at the cards for a while, I tried to figure ways to make connections. I thought about how all these cards, despite their different suits, shared a common thread of… maybe “transition”? The Eight of Wands is about rapid change, the Eight of Cups is about leaving something behind, the Eight of Swords represents the mental state during a change, and the Eight of Pentacles shows the work needed to master a new skill.
