Love, Career, and Capricorn Tarot Cards: reveal all today!

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into tarot for a while, and Capricorn season seemed like the perfect time to finally dive in. I’ve always been drawn to the imagery and symbolism, plus, you know, who doesn’t love a little bit of mystical guidance?

First, I ordered a deck. I went with the classic Rider-Waite deck because it’s, like, the go-to for beginners. Lots of resources out there to help interpret the cards, you know?

The deck arrived, and it was…intimidating. So many cards! I spent a good hour just flipping through them, trying to get a feel for the artwork and the general vibe of each card.

Getting to Know the Cards

  • I started with the Major Arcana, the big-name cards like The Fool, The Lovers, and Death (which isn’t as scary as it sounds, I promise!). I read up on their basic meanings online and in the little booklet that came with the deck.
  • Then I tackled the Minor Arcana. It’s divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Each suit represents a different aspect of life, like creativity, emotions, intellect, and material stuff.
  • I figured, since it’s Capricorn season, I’d pay extra attention to the cards associated with that sign. The main one is The Devil, which, honestly, I was a little freaked out by at first. But it’s not about, like, literal evil. It’s more about limitations, restrictions, and facing your shadow self. Very Capricorn, right?
  • And, The King of Pentacles and Queen of Pentacles. They mean something, I’m learning!

My First Reading

I did a simple three-card spread: Past, Present, and Future. I shuffled the deck while focusing on a general question about my career, then laid out the cards. I won’t bore you with the specifics, but it was surprisingly insightful! The cards definitely resonated with some things I’ve been feeling lately.

It’s not like the cards gave me concrete answers or told me exactly what to do. It was more like they provided a new perspective, a different way of looking at my situation. Kinda like talking to a really wise friend who doesn’t tell you what to do, but helps you figure it out for yourself.

I’m still very much a beginner, but I’m excited to keep practicing and learning more. I’ve been keeping a little tarot journal to track my readings and my interpretations. It’s kinda fun to look back and see how things have unfolded. And, to get good at interpreting, I started watching some online videos, and that is helping a lot!

So yeah, that’s my Capricorn tarot card adventure so far. It’s been a cool way to connect with my intuition and explore some deeper questions. Still figuring it all out, but that’s part of the fun, right?
