Tarot The Knight: What is the message from your guide?

Alright, so check it, today I’m gonna walk you through my little tarot experiment, “The Knight.” Been messing with tarot for a bit, mostly just messing around, but I wanted to see if I could actually use it for something practical.

First, I had this problem. A real sticky one at work. Basically, two teams were butting heads, hard. Blaming each other for delays, stuff wasn’t getting done, the whole nine yards. I was stuck in the middle trying to smooth things over, but nothing was working. That’s when it hit me – tarot.

I grabbed my Rider-Waite deck – yeah, the basic one, don’t judge – and sat down with a clear head. I really tried to focus on the actual problem, not just the surface-level drama. Deep breaths, the whole shebang. I decided to do a simple three-card spread: Past, Present, Future.

Okay, here’s where it got interesting. I shuffled like a madman, cut the deck, and pulled the first card for the “Past” – it was the Five of Swords. Ouch. This screamed conflict, defeat, and a real sense of someone feeling cheated or outmaneuvered. Makes sense, given the team beef. It confirmed my suspicion that there was some serious history between these teams.

Next, for the “Present,” I pulled the Queen of Pentacles. Now, this was a bit more hopeful. It suggested a need for practicality, nurturing, and a grounded approach. Someone (or something) needed to step in and offer some stability. I figured this was my cue to get my act together.

Finally, the “Future” card. Drumroll please… The Knight of Wands. BAM! This card is all about action, enthusiasm, and taking charge. But it also has a warning: be careful not to be impulsive or reckless. Okay, tarot, I see you. This was telling me to be proactive, but to think before I leap.

So, what did I do with all this mumbo jumbo? Well, the Five of Swords made me realize I needed to address the underlying resentments between the teams. The Queen of Pentacles told me to focus on practical solutions, not just empty promises. And the Knight of Wands gave me the balls to actually do something, but to do it smart.

Here’s what went down: I arranged a meeting. Not just a status update, but a real sit-down. No presentations, no finger-pointing. I made everyone air their grievances. It was messy, but necessary. Then, I facilitated a brainstorming session, focusing on concrete steps we could take to improve communication and workflow. Think shared calendars, daily stand-ups, that kind of thing. I even brought in donuts. Queen of Pentacles style, you know?

Did it magically fix everything? Nope. But it got the ball rolling. The Knight of Wands energy helped me push through the initial resistance and get people engaged. And over the next few weeks, things did improve. Not perfect, but definitely better.

Lessons Learned:

  • Tarot isn’t a magic eight ball. It’s a tool for introspection and gaining a different perspective.
  • Don’t take the cards literally. Interpret them in the context of your situation.
  • Sometimes, you just need a little push to take action. The Knight of Wands can be that push.

So, yeah, that’s my “Tarot the Knight” story. Was it scientific? Hell no. Did it help? Surprisingly, yes. I’m not saying tarot is the answer to all your problems, but it can be a fun and interesting way to approach challenges. Give it a shot, see what happens. You might be surprised.
