Whats the Time Frame in Tarot Readings? Get the Details

Alright, let’s dive into my little tarot experiment, “Time in Tarot.” It’s been kinda quirky, but definitely interesting.

So, it all started when I was just chilling, flipping through a tarot deck. I always felt like tarot was good for understanding feelings and situations, but could it actually tell me when something might happen? I was skeptical, but also super curious.

First, I did some digging online. I wanted to see how other people were approaching this whole “time” thing with tarot. I found a bunch of different methods. Some folks used specific cards to represent certain time periods (like the Wheel of Fortune for a year, or the Knight cards for weeks/months). Others used astrology alongside the cards, which felt a bit too complicated for me at this point.

I decided to keep it simple for my first try. I grabbed my Rider-Waite deck (classic, right?), and I thought, “Okay, let’s ask a direct question.” I picked a situation I was actually waiting on – hearing back about a job application. I shuffled the deck, focused on the question, and pulled three cards.

The cards I got were the Three of Wands, the Eight of Cups, and the Ten of Pentacles. Now, I know card meanings pretty well, but I had to figure out how to translate them into time. I thought of the Three of Wands as representing waiting and watching for something to come in. The Eight of Cups felt like moving on from something that wasn’t working. And the Ten of Pentacles… that felt like a long-term outcome, like something stable and established.

I interpreted it like this: I’d be waiting a little longer (Three of Wands), but ultimately, if this job didn’t pan out (Eight of Cups), I’d find something even better and more secure in the long run (Ten of Pentacles). As for a specific timeframe? I decided to assign the Wands suit to weeks, Cups to months, and Pentacles to years. So, maybe a few weeks of waiting, a month or two of feeling uncertain, and then a really good opportunity in the next year or so.

Then came the waiting game. Honestly, it was kinda torturous. I kept checking my email, and I was constantly thinking about those cards. It felt like I was willing the future into existence.

Guess what? I actually heard back about the job application in exactly three weeks! They rejected me. BUT, and this is a big but, about a month later, a friend reached out with a job lead that was way better than the first one. I interviewed, got the job, and it’s been amazing. That Ten of Pentacles vibe was totally spot on!

I’m not saying tarot is a perfect fortune-telling tool or anything, but this experiment definitely made me think about time and possibilities in a different way. It was more about focusing my intentions and recognizing opportunities when they appeared. I’m going to keep playing around with this. I might try different methods, like assigning numbers on the cards to specific dates. Who knows what I’ll discover next?

  • First Steps: Researched different timing methods in tarot.
  • The Question: Asked about the timeframe for a job application outcome.
  • The Spread: Pulled three cards and interpreted their meanings in relation to time.
  • The Wait: Patiently (and impatiently) waited for the outcome.
  • The Result: Cards offered insights into the timing and progression of events.

My Takeaways

This “Time in Tarot” thing is still pretty experimental for me, but here’s what I’ve learned so far:

  • It’s not a crystal ball: Don’t expect pinpoint accuracy. Tarot is more about tendencies and potential timelines.
  • Intuition is key: Go with your gut feeling when assigning timeframes to the cards.
  • Focus on the message: The cards might not tell you exactly when something will happen, but they can give you guidance and encouragement.

Anyway, that’s my little tarot adventure for now. I’ll definitely keep you guys posted on any future experiments!
