Okay, so I wanted to try something a bit different lately. Things felt kinda hectic, you know? Just a lot going on in my head. I remembered reading somewhere about just pulling one tarot card a day. Sounded simple enough, not like a whole big reading that takes ages.
Getting Started
So, this morning, I decided to actually do it. First, I grabbed my old tarot deck. It’s been sitting on the shelf for a while, honestly. Found a quiet corner at my desk, away from the usual mess. Took a couple of deep breaths. Felt kinda silly at first, but hey, worth a shot.
I picked up the deck. It felt familiar in my hands. I started shuffling the cards. I don’t have a fancy way of doing it, just kinda mix them up until it feels right. Did that for a minute or two, just focusing on the cards moving through my hands. Tried to clear my mind, which is easier said than done most days.
The Moment of Truth
Then, I sort of thought, “Okay, what’s the vibe for today?” or “What should I maybe pay attention to?”. Nothing too heavy. Just a simple, open-ended thing.
Spread the cards out face down. Ran my hand over them for a second. Then I just picked one. The one that my fingers sort of stopped on. No second guessing, just went with it.
Flipped it over. It was the Temperance card today. Looked at the picture for a bit – the angel, the cups, the water flowing between them.
What I Took From It
My first thought? Balance. Yeah, that hit home. Things have been feeling a bit up and down, like I was juggling too much or swinging from one extreme to another. Seeing that card was like a little nudge.
- Maybe find some middle ground today.
- Don’t rush things too much.
- Try to blend things together instead of keeping them separate.
It wasn’t like some big revelation, you know? More like a gentle reminder. Find some patience, mix things carefully. That sort of thing. I propped the card up on my desk where I could see it. Just glanced at it a few times during the day. It actually helped, reminded me to take a breath when things got a bit much.
So yeah, that was my one-card pull today. Quick, simple, and actually kinda grounding. Didn’t need a whole complex spread to get a little bit of perspective. Just one card. I think I might keep doing this.
