Wondering what tarot card am I? Find your archetype now using this simple guide to tarot personality types.

Okay, so I got curious about this whole “what tarot card am I” thing. Saw it floating around, people asking, and figured I’d try and figure it out for myself. Not really into mystical stuff usually, but like to understand things, you know?

First thing I did was look online. Found a bunch of those quick quizzes. Clicked through a few. One told me I was The Magician, another said The Hermit. Felt a bit random, like those personality tests that don’t really tell you much deep down. Didn’t feel right, too simple.

Digging In Myself

So, I decided to go about it differently. Got myself a basic tarot deck – just a standard Rider-Waite one, nothing fancy. Thought I should actually look at the cards myself instead of relying on some quiz algorithm.

Spread them out. Looked at the Major Arcana first. Big hitters, right? The Emperor, The Lovers, Strength, The Fool. Some resonated a tiny bit, others felt completely off. Like, am I The Fool? Sometimes I jump into things, sure, but it didn’t feel like my whole deal. The Emperor? Definitely not that rigid.

Then I looked at the Minor Arcana, especially the Court Cards – Kings, Queens, Knights, Pages. People say these often represent actual people, or maybe parts of your personality. This got even trickier.

  • Sometimes I felt like the Queen of Swords – needing clear thoughts, cutting through nonsense.
  • Other days, maybe the Knight of Pentacles – just slowly plugging away at something, being methodical.
  • Then there were moments I recognized the Page of Wands energy – getting excited about a new idea, maybe a bit impulsive.

It was confusing. How could I be just one of these? It didn’t make sense. I wasn’t just one thing all the time. Felt like I was trying to fit myself into a box that was way too small.

Thinking About Patterns

Read a little bit about how some folks see these cards as patterns of thinking, or ‘archetypes’ – like basic human templates we all have bits of. That made a bit more sense than being assigned one single card.

It clicked then. Maybe the question isn’t “What card AM I?” like it’s a permanent label. Maybe it’s more about “What card’s energy is strong in me right now?” Or, “What card represents the challenge or vibe I’m dealing with today?”

It’s not like your birth sign. It feels more fluid. Like, today I might need to channel some Strength card energy to get through a tough task. Tomorrow, maybe I need the Temperance vibe to find some balance.

So, after all that looking and thinking, I didn’t really land on a single card. It felt like trying to say a whole toolbox is just a hammer. You use different tools for different jobs. You embody different energies at different times.

My final takeaway? I’m not one tarot card. I’m a mix, depending on the day, the situation, what’s going on inside my head. Trying to pin down one specific card felt like missing the whole point. It’s more about recognizing different patterns and energies within yourself as they come and go. That felt like a much more real and practical answer, at least for me.
