Biddy Tarot The Sun Meaning: Love, Career, and More.

My Session with The Sun Card from Biddy Tarot

Okay, so today I decided to actually sit down and do some practice. Been meaning to connect more with my deck lately, you know? Life gets busy. Anyway, I grabbed my usual Rider-Waite-Smith style deck, the one I got ages ago, feels nice and worn in.

I just wanted a simple, one-card pull. Kind of a ‘what’s the vibe for today?’ sort of thing. Didn’t do anything fancy, just gave the cards a good shuffle while thinking about needing some clarity or maybe just a bit of positive energy. Then I cut the deck and pulled the top card.

Boom. The Sun.

Honestly, seeing that card just instantly makes you feel a bit better, right? It’s so bright and cheerful. That big ol’ sun, the happy kid on the horse… it’s hard not to get a little lift from it.

So, I sat with it for a minute. Just looked at the imagery. Thought about what jumped out at me. The warmth, the feeling of freedom, the pure, simple joy on that kid’s face. No complex stuff, just straightforward happiness.

Then I remembered I wanted to check the Biddy Tarot take on it. I like how Brigit breaks things down, usually pretty clear and practical. So, I pulled up her site on my phone – didn’t dive super deep, just skimmed the main keywords and meanings she listed.

  • Positivity
  • Fun
  • Warmth
  • Success
  • Vitality

Yeah, pretty much what you’d expect, but seeing it laid out helped solidify things. She talks about that feeling of liberation and things working out, success and abundance shining down.

I tried to connect that to my own stuff. Wasn’t looking for some massive revelation, just trying to see where that energy fit. Thought about a small project I finished yesterday that actually went well. Felt good, like a little win. The Sun card felt like an affirmation of that simple success, that moment of ‘hey, that worked out!’

Also thought about just trying to embrace a bit more optimism. Things can feel heavy sometimes, you know? Seeing The Sun felt like a nudge to focus on the good stuff, the simple pleasures, the warmth that’s actually there if you look for it. Like stepping out into the sunshine after being inside all day.

So yeah, that was my little session. Didn’t take long. Just shuffled, pulled the card, looked at it, checked a quick reference I trust, and thought about how it applied to me right now. Felt good. A nice reminder that sometimes, things really are bright and clear.
