Tarot Card Spreads Guide Book Online for Beginners

Alright, so here’s the deal, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, and I finally decided to put together a little online guide book thingy. Not like, a super professional, publish-it-on-Amazon kinda deal, but more like a personal project to help me solidify my own understanding and maybe help out some other newbies along the way.

First thing I did was gather all my resources. I had a bunch of books, some websites I liked, and of course, my own notes from practicing. I sorted through everything, trying to figure out what was actually useful and what was just fluff. You know how it is, some sources are way better than others.

Then, I started outlining. I figured I’d break it down by card – each of the Major Arcana and then the suits of the Minor Arcana. For each card, I wanted to include:

A basic description of the card.

Some keywords, both upright and reversed.

My own interpretation, based on experience.

Maybe a little bit about the symbolism.

After outlining, I began writing. It was a slow process, because I really wanted to make sure I was explaining things clearly and simply. I tried to avoid any jargon or fancy language. Just plain English. I focused on how the cards felt to me, and how I’ve seen them play out in real readings.

Next, I thought about the structure. Just writing out card descriptions wasn’t enough. I wanted to add some practical stuff, like:

Different spread layouts.

Tips for shuffling and drawing cards.

A section on ethics (super important!).

I remembered that the three-card spread is super useful. So I made sure to include a section where I explained how I use it to understand the past, present, and future.

Once I had a decent amount of content, I decided to find a way to make it accessible online. I looked at a few different options like using Google Docs or something simple. I ended up using a basic HTML template. It wasn’t fancy, but it got the job done. I uploaded everything to my little personal website.

And that’s pretty much it! It’s an ongoing project, of course. I plan to add more content as I learn more, and I’m always tweaking things based on feedback. The whole point was to create something useful and share my experience with others that are just starting. It helps me to practice and improve too.
