My Run-in with the Number 3300

Okay, so I wanted to share something that’s been happening lately. It’s about this number, 3300. Not usually one for this stuff, but it kept showing up, you know? So I thought I’d just jot down what went down, my own little record of it.

It started a few months back. Things were feeling a bit… stagnant. Same routine, day in, day out. Wasn’t unhappy, exactly, but felt like I was just treading water. Then I started seeing 3300. First time, it was the odometer on my car hitting exactly 3300 miles for a trip. Didn’t think anything of it.

But then, a couple of days later, I glanced at my phone – 3:30 PM. Okay, still pretty normal. But then it happened again. Paid for some groceries, total came to $33.00. Then saw it as part of a phone number on a billboard. It just kept popping up in these mundane, everyday places.

After the fourth or fifth time in about two weeks, I started to actually notice it. Like, properly pay attention. It wasn’t scary or anything, just… persistent. Felt weirdly deliberate. So, I decided, alright, let’s see what this is about. I didn’t go nuts researching or anything, just decided to treat it like a little nudge.

My practice was simple. When I saw 3300, I’d just take a second. Pause. Think about what I was doing or feeling right then. Was I worrying about something? Was I thinking about a project? It became a little check-in moment.

I started doing a couple of things differently:

  • I tried focusing more on communication. Like, actually saying what I meant instead of hinting. Saw 3300 on an email timestamp right after I sent a really direct, honest message I’d been putting off. Felt like a small confirmation.
  • I also pushed myself to be a bit more creative. Dug out an old guitar, started messing around again. Nothing serious, just for fun. Saw the number sequence on a YouTube video view count related to music tutorials.
  • Tried to be more optimistic, generally. When a minor setback happened at work, I saw the time was 3:30 PM again. Instead of getting grumpy, I just kinda shrugged and thought, “Okay, maybe this is a chance to try a different approach.”

So, what happened? Well, there wasn’t some huge dramatic change overnight. No lottery win or anything. But things did start to feel… smoother. Communication at home got better. Felt less stuck in that rut. Landed a small side project doing something I actually enjoy, which came about unexpectedly after I decided to just put myself out there a bit more following one of those 3300 ‘nudges’.

Maybe it’s all coincidence. Maybe I was just ready for a change and the number was something my brain latched onto. Who knows? But the act of noticing, pausing, and making small, conscious shifts? That definitely felt real. Seeing 3300 became my little reminder to stay open, connect, and trust that things could shift, even if slowly. That was my experience with it, plain and simple.
