My Run-in with 470
Okay, so I wanted to share something that kept popping up for me a while back. It was the number 470. Not like, once or twice, but enough times that I started thinking, “Alright, what’s going on here?”
It started subtly. I’d glance at the clock, 4:70… wait, no, 4:07 or maybe it was 4:70 AM… no that’s not right either, maybe it was on some paperwork, page 470. Then I saw it on a license plate, part of a phone number, a receipt total came to $4.70. It was weird. Just kept showing up in random places over maybe a week or two.
At the time, I remember feeling a bit stuck. Not in a bad way, just… stagnant? Like I knew I needed to make some small changes around the house, maybe start that garden project I kept putting off, but I just wasn’t getting around to it. Lots of thinking, not much doing. You know how it is.
Seeing 470 so often felt like a nudge. Like the universe, or whatever you want to call it, was tapping me on the shoulder. It wasn’t scary or anything, more like a gentle reminder.

It lined up with how I was feeling – needing to actually do something practical (build the foundation for the garden, literally) and trust my gut feeling that it was the right time to start, even if I felt a bit lazy about it.
Taking Action
So, I decided to just lean into it. What did I have to lose?
