8 espadas tarot reversed what it means for your reading

So, today I tried something new, I tried to do a tarot reading for myself using the Eight of Swords. It felt a little bit like walking into the unknown, but I was curious about what the cards might say.

I started by shuffling the deck, focusing on my question. I then drew the Eight of Swords. At first, I saw a woman, blindfolded and bound, surrounded by eight swords stuck in the ground. I felt a little uneasy. It seemed like a symbol of being trapped, helpless.

I dug a little deeper. I tried to connect with the image. The woman in the card, she was not physically restrained in a way that she couldn’t escape. It looked more like she was stuck because she believed she was stuck, a mental block of sorts.

  • I spent a good chunk of time just staring at the card, trying to see if it would “speak” to me in some way.
  • I wrote down my thoughts and feelings in a journal. I found myself jotting down things like “feeling stuck,” “limited options,” “fear of the unknown.”

I also decided to pull the card in reverse to add more context to my reading. A reversed card signals some kind of blockage in the energy of the upright card. I knew that a reversed Eight of Swords represents releasing negative patterns and belief systems.

Trying to Make Sense of It All

After all that, I took a step back to look at the bigger picture. It felt like the card was telling me that I might be limiting myself with my own fears and doubts. It was a wake-up call, you know? A reminder that maybe the only thing holding me back is, well, me.

This whole tarot reading thing, it was quite an experience. It pushed me to look inward, to face some uncomfortable truths about myself. But it also gave me a sense of hope. I realized that I have the power to change my situation, to free myself from these self-imposed limitations.

I ended the day feeling a bit more empowered, a bit more self-aware. It’s like I was given a tool to help me navigate my own mind. And honestly, I’m kind of excited to see where this new journey takes me.
