9 of Swords Tarot card? See what it means for you!

Alright, so today I’m spilling the beans on my tarot practice with the Nine of Swords. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

First off, I grabbed my deck. It’s nothing fancy, just a Rider-Waite Smith that’s been through the wringer with me. Shuffled the cards like I always do, trying to clear my head of all the junk that’s been piling up.

Then, I focused on the question. The Nine of Swords is all about anxiety, right? So, I asked, “What’s causing me the most sleepless nights right now?” Pretty straightforward, no messing around.

Pulled the card. BAM! There it was, the Nine of Swords staring right back at me. Nine swords hanging over a person in bed, looking all stressed out. Classic.

Interpreted the card. Okay, so it’s not rocket science. Obvious anxiety alert. But I dug deeper. It’s not just general worry, it’s that feeling of being trapped, like you’re making problems bigger in your head than they actually are. I thought about what’s been bugging me lately.

Made the connections. It hit me. It was that project at work, the one with the looming deadline. I’d been catastrophizing about it, imagining all the ways it could go wrong, losing sleep over hypothetical scenarios. The card was basically screaming at me to chill out and deal with the real problem, not the imagined ones.

Then, I asked for advice. I pulled another card, asking, “What can I do to ease this anxiety?” I got the Temperance card. Huh.

Interpreted the Temperance card. This one was about balance, finding the middle ground, and having patience. Okay, so the tarot was telling me to take a deep breath, break the project down into smaller, manageable steps, and not to freak out if things don’t go perfectly to plan.

Applied the advice. So, I did. The next day, I sat down and made a list of everything that needed to be done for the project. Broke it into smaller tasks, assigned realistic deadlines, and actually started working on it instead of just worrying about it.

The result? It actually helped! Breaking things down made the whole thing feel less overwhelming. I still had stress, sure, but it was manageable stress. I actually slept better that night. Small wins, right?

My takeaway: The Nine of Swords is a wake-up call. It’s about recognizing when you’re spiraling into anxiety and taking steps to ground yourself. And the Temperance card? A reminder that balance and patience are key to getting through it. Tarot’s not magic, but it’s a pretty good mirror, if you ask me.
