Okay, so, I got into this thing called the Herbal Tarot Deck. It all started when I was browsing online and stumbled upon this deck. The idea of combining herbs with tarot cards? I was hooked right away. So, I ordered the deck and the guidebook together online, like they’re a set or something.

When the package arrived, I ripped it open. The cards were beautiful, each one with a different herb on it. The guidebook was pretty thick, too. I started flipping through it and, man, there was a lot to take in. It explained each card, the herb, and even how to use the herbs in your daily life. I guess it’s good for people who like herbs, tarot, or, like me, both.
First, I just looked at the cards, one by one. Then, I started reading the book more seriously. It’s written by this guy, Michael Tierra, who seems to know his stuff. Each card has its own meaning, just like regular tarot, but there’s also a whole part about the herb itself, what it’s good for, and how to use it.
I decided to try it out, you know, like a real tarot reading. I shuffled the cards, focused on a question I had, and pulled a few cards. Then, I flipped to the right pages in the book and read up on what the cards meant and about the herbs that were on them. It was pretty cool, actually. There are even suggestions for different spreads to use, affirmations, recipes and exercises. It felt like I was learning about tarot and herbs at the same time.
I kept practicing, pulling cards, reading the book, and trying different spreads. The more I did it, the more comfortable I got. I started to recognize the cards and the herbs. It was like learning a new language, but way more fun.
- Pulled cards daily for a week
- Read corresponding sections in the guidebook
- Tried out a few different spreads
- Started recognizing some of the cards and their meanings
Honestly, it’s been a neat experience. I’m not sure if I’m, like, an expert now or anything, but I definitely feel more connected to the cards and the herbs. It’s like this whole new world opened up. Who knew plants could be so interesting? And the way they tie into the tarot meanings, it just makes sense, you know?

So, yeah, that’s my story about getting into the Herbal Tarot Deck. It’s been a fun and kind of educational journey. I’m still learning, but I’m enjoying it. Maybe I’ll even try growing some of these herbs myself. We’ll see.
