Okay, so the other day I got this wild idea to mess around with tarot cards and birthdays. I’d seen some stuff online about it, and I figured, why not give it a shot? It’s not like I had anything better to do, right?
Getting Started
First things first, I had to dig out my old tarot deck. It’s been collecting dust for ages, tucked away in a box somewhere. Found it! It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck, nothing fancy.
Then, I needed to find a, you know, “victim.” Luckily, my friend Sarah’s birthday was coming up, so I asked her if she was game. She was like, “Sure, why not?” Bless her heart.
The Process
So, here’s the deal. The whole thing is about adding up the numbers in your birth date and then figuring out which tarot card corresponds to that number. I had to look up the actual method online ’cause I totally forgot. Here’s what I did:
- Wrote down the birthdate: Sarah’s birthday is July 15, 1992. So, that’s 07/15/1992.
- Added up all the digits: 0 + 7 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 34
- Reduced it to a single digit (if necessary): Since 34 is more than 22 (the number of Major Arcana cards), I added 3 + 4 = 7.
Boom! The number 7. That’s the Chariot card in the tarot deck.
Figuring Out the Card
Now, I gotta admit, my tarot knowledge is rusty. Like, really rusty. I had to pull out the little booklet that came with the deck to refresh my memory. The Chariot, it’s all about willpower, determination, and overcoming obstacles. Sounds kinda intense, right?
I told Sarah what I’d found, and she was pretty amused. We spent a good chunk of time just chatting about what the Chariot could possibly mean for her in the coming year. I mean, it’s not like a super-serious prediction or anything, just a fun little exercise.
The Outcome
Honestly, the whole thing was just a fun way to spend an afternoon. It’s not gonna change the world, but it did get me thinking about tarot again. And Sarah got a little something extra to think about for her birthday. Maybe I will try it again sometime.
