Tower Moment in Tarot: Simple Guide for Beginners!

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards lately, and let me tell you, the Tower card has been popping up a lot. It’s kind of freaky, but also super interesting. I wanted to share what I’ve been doing and how it’s been going because it’s been, well, a bit of a rollercoaster.

First off, I pulled out my trusty Rider-Waite deck. I’ve had this deck for years, and it always feels right. I cleared a space on my desk, lit a candle (just a regular one, nothing fancy), and shuffled the cards while thinking about what’s been going on in my life lately. Big changes, you know? Feeling a bit unstable.

My Reading Process

  • Shuffling: I shuffled for a good few minutes, really trying to connect with the cards.
  • Cutting the Deck: I cut the deck into three piles and then restacked them.
  • Drawing the Card: And there it was. The Tower. Lightning striking, people falling…yikes.

Initially, I freaked out a little. I mean, the Tower is not exactly a card you want to see. It’s all about sudden upheaval, chaos, and things falling apart. But then, I took a deep breath and reminded myself that it’s not always bad. It can also mean breaking down old structures that aren’t serving you anymore.

I decided to make interpertaion by myself. I spread the card on the table, and watched it for a long time. I even drop down my feelings about it.

I spent the rest of the day really reflecting on what areas of my life might be due for a “Tower moment.” What am I clinging to that’s actually holding me back? What needs to be shaken up so I can rebuild something stronger and better?

It’s been a few days now, and honestly, things have been a bit chaotic. Some unexpected stuff has come up, forcing me to re-evaluate some things. But I’m trying to approach it with the mindset that this is all part of the process. It’s uncomfortable, sure, but maybe necessary.

I’m going to keep journaling about it and see how things unfold. I’ll probably do another reading in a week or so to check in and see if the Tower is still hanging around, or if a new card has emerged to guide me. It’s all a learning experience, right?
