Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post about my experience with “tarot card 9,” written in a casual, personal style, and following all your instructions:
So, I finally got around to messing with tarot card number 9, The Hermit. I’ve been kinda putting it off, ’cause, you know, introspection and all that. Not always my favorite thing. But I figured, gotta do it sometime, right?
First, I cleared my space. Lit some incense – sandalwood, because it’s supposed to be grounding or something. I shuffled my deck, my trusty old Rider-Waite, the one with the worn edges and that one card that’s slightly bent (don’t ask). Then I laid out a simple three-card spread: Past, Present, Future.
My Reading
- Past: The Five of Pentacles. Ugh. Okay, that made sense. Felt like I’d been struggling, feeling left out in the cold. Accurate.
- Present: The Magician! Whoa. Felt like a surge of energy, like, “Yeah, I got this! I have the tools!”
- Future: …And there it was. Card number 9, The Hermit.
My first reaction? “Seriously? More alone time?” But then I actually looked at the card. The old guy with the lantern, looking all wise and peaceful. It didn’t feel lonely, it felt… deliberate. Like choosing to step back and figure stuff out.
So I spent some time just sitting with it. No phone, no music, just me and my thoughts. I journaled a bit, scribbling down whatever came to mind. Surprisingly, it wasn’t all angsty teenage poetry. I actually started to see some patterns, some things I needed to work on, some things I needed to let go of.
I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t a magical transformation. I didn’t suddenly become a Zen master. But I did feel… lighter. Like I’d taken a small step towards understanding myself better. And that, I think, is the whole point of The Hermit. It’s not about hiding from the world, it’s about taking the time to find your own inner light, so you can shine it brighter when you’re ready.
It is my own experience. I do not feel lonely, I feel I need to be alone to explore myself. I feel that tarot card 9 means a lot to me, I will keep practicing and see how things go with the help of the card.
