How to learn Universal Tarot? Follow these easy beginner steps.

Okay, so I finally got around to spending some real time with my Universal Tarot deck today. It’s been sitting there, and I felt like I needed to, you know, actually use it.

Getting Started

First thing, I just grabbed the deck. Felt the cards, kinda got reacquainted. They have this specific smooth feel, different from my other decks. I didn’t have a super specific question in mind, more like just wanting a general vibe check on things, where my head should be at.

So, I started shuffling. Did it for a good few minutes, just letting my hands do the work, trying to clear my head. Put some intention in there, like asking the cards to just show me what’s up, plain and simple. Nothing too fancy.

Pulling the Cards

Decided on a simple three-card pull. Past, present, future – keeps things straightforward. Spread ’em out face down on my table.

Took a breath and flipped the first one. It was the Five of Wands. Okay, conflict, struggle, that kinda thing. Yeah, that felt about right looking back at the last few weeks. Lots of little annoyances, people not being on the same page. Made sense.

Flipped the second card – the present. Got the Four of Swords. Rest, recovery, taking a time out. Spot on, honestly. That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to do lately. Just step back, take a breather from all the noise. Seeing that card felt… validating, I guess?

Then the third card, the future position. It was the Page of Cups. This one felt lighter. Like maybe an offer, or some kind of message, probably emotional or creative. A bit unexpected, but nice. Felt like maybe after this rest period, something new and kinda gentle might pop up.

Putting it Together (My Take)

So, looking at the three cards lined up:

  • Five of Wands (Past): Yep, dealt with some chaos and disagreements.
  • Four of Swords (Present): Currently needing and taking rest. Makes total sense.
  • Page of Cups (Future): Potential for some gentle news or maybe a new emotional beginning. Keep an eye out.

It wasn’t earth-shattering stuff. More like a quiet confirmation of where things have been and where they are now. The future card was the most interesting bit, gave me something positive to look towards, even if it’s small.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it was a good session. Felt grounded. The Universal Tarot deck was pretty clear, didn’t feel confusing. Just a straightforward chat with the cards, really. Reminded me why I like this deck – it just gets to the point. Now I just gotta actually, you know, keep resting like the Four of Swords said, and see if that Page of Cups energy shows up.
