Best Daily Tarot Spread Ideas for Beginners & Beyond.

Okay, so this morning I decided to try out a “daily tarot spread” thing. I’ve been seeing it all over my socials, and figured, why not? I’m no expert, but it seemed like a fun way to maybe get a little insight into my day.

First, I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up a while back. I gave the cards a good shuffle, just kind of thinking about my day and what I was hoping to get out of this little experiment.

My Daily Tarot Spread Process

I kept it simple, no complicated Celtic Cross spread or anything. just a basic three-card pull:

  • Card 1: Represents the overall energy or theme of the day.
  • Card 2: Represents a challenge or obstacle I might face.
  • Card 3: Represents advice or guidance to navigate the day.

I laid the cards out face down in a row, then flipped them over one by one. I won’t bore you with my specific cards, but the first one was all about creativity and new beginnings, which felt pretty accurate since I had a bunch of brainstorming to do for work.

The second card, the “challenge” card, was a bit of a downer. Something about potential conflict or miscommunication. That gave me a little pause, made me realize I needed to be extra careful in my meetings today.

Finally, the third card, the “advice” card, was surprisingly helpful. It was all about staying grounded and focusing on practical solutions. See, sometimes tarot is pretty straightforward!

After pulling the cards, I spent a few minutes just looking at them, you know, letting the images and my gut reactions sink in. I also jotted down some quick notes in my journal. Just the card names and a few keywords that jumped out at me.

Honestly, the whole thing took maybe 10 minutes, tops. It wasn’t some huge, mystical ritual. But it did help me set some intentions for the day and be a little more mindful of potential pitfalls. I’ll probably try it again tomorrow, just to see if it keeps being useful. Might even get a little more fancy with the spreads as I get the hang of it!
