Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “good fortune tarot” thing popping up all over my feeds, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’m not really a huge believer in tarot, but I’m always up for trying something new, and honestly, who couldn’t use a little good fortune, right?
My Little Tarot Experiment
First, I dug out an old tarot deck I had lying around. It was a gift from a friend years ago, and I’d mostly just kept it because the artwork was pretty. I dusted it off – literally, it was pretty dusty! – and found a quiet spot in my apartment.
Next, I looked up some basic tarot spreads online. I didn’t want anything too complicated, so I settled on a simple three-card spread: Past, Present, and Future. Pretty straightforward, I figured.
I shuffled the cards, trying to focus on the idea of “good fortune.” I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little silly, but I committed to the process. Then, I laid out the three cards face down.
- Card 1 (Past): The Chariot (Reversed)
- Card 2 (Present): The Star
- Card 3 (Future): Ten of Pentacles
I flipped the cards over one by one and then it was time to make sense of this mess.
I checked some online interpretations for each card to make a summary.
- The Chariot (Reversed) in the Past position: Suggested maybe I’d been feeling a lack of direction or control recently. Made sense, things have been a bit chaotic lately.
- The Star in the Present position: This one felt good! It’s all about hope, inspiration, and renewed faith. Okay, I can vibe with that.
- Ten of Pentacles in the Future position: This card is apparently about abundance, long-term success, and family. Well, that sounds pretty darn good!
So, what did I take away from all this? Honestly, it was kind of fun! Even if you don’t fully believe in the magic of tarot, it’s a neat way to reflect on your current situation and maybe gain a little bit of a different perspective. I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to see a card about abundance in their future? It is a nice feeling.
I’m not suddenly going to start making all my life decisions based on tarot readings, but I might just pull out those cards again sometime when I’m feeling a little lost or just need a bit of a boost. It’s a fun little exercise, and hey, maybe a little good fortune will come my way! I’m gonna say I might do it again!
