Okay, so yesterday I decided to do a relationship tarot reading for myself. I’ve been feeling a little unsure about things with my partner lately, and I thought it might give me some clarity. I’m no expert, but I enjoy dabbling in tarot for a bit of fun and self-reflection.
First, I grabbed my favorite tarot deck – the one with the really pretty artwork. Then, I found a quiet spot in my apartment, lit a candle (because, why not?), and shuffled the cards while focusing on my relationship.
The Spread
I decided to use a simple three-card spread. You know, past, present, and future. Super basic, but it usually does the trick.
- Past: I drew The Lovers. I figured it made sense. We definitely had a strong connection and passion when we first met.
- Present: The Five of Cups. Ouch. This one shows someone focusing on loss and disappointment. I think that represented my current anxieties and maybe a bit of sadness about how things have been lately.
- Future: The Sun. Phew! This is a really positive card, all about joy, success, and happiness. It gave me some hope that things might work out after all.
I spent a good while just staring at the cards, thinking about what they could mean in my specific situation. It is not just read cards but put your heart on it.
Then, write it down, it will help me to remeber all the details and thoughts, it is easy to forget.
After the reading, I felt a little better, even though it wasn’t a perfect outcome. The Five of Cups reminded me that it’s okay to acknowledge the negative feelings, and The Sun gave me a bit of optimism to hold onto. Tarot isn’t about predicting the future with 100% accuracy. For me, it’s more about gaining a new perspective and maybe sparking some helpful introspection. I plan to talk to my partner about how I’ve been feeling, and hopefully, the cards have helped me to approach the conversation with a bit more clarity.
