Okay, so today I tried out this whole “3-card tarot spread” thing. I’ve always been a little curious about tarot, you know, the whole mystical vibe. I figured, why not give it a shot? It might be fun, or at least a good story.
First, I grabbed my deck. It’s not some ancient, handed-down-through-generations deck, just a regular one I picked up from a bookstore. I shuffled the cards, trying to focus on, well, I wasn’t sure what to focus on. “The universe,” I guess? It felt a little silly, but I went with it.
My Simple Process
- Shuffle: I just shuffled them like regular playing cards until it felt right.
- Cut the Deck: I split the deck into three piles.
- Pick Three: Chose the top card from each pile.
I laid out the three cards face down, then flipped them over one by one. I got The Star, The Lovers (reversed), and The Chariot.
Now, I’m no tarot expert. I literally googled what each card meant. The Star is apparently about hope and inspiration. The Lovers reversed, well, that seems to hint at some relationship disharmony or maybe tough choices. And The Chariot is all about willpower and overcoming obstacles.
So, what did I make of all this? Honestly, it’s kind of open to interpretation. Maybe it’s a nudge to stay positive (The Star), work through some relationship stuff or a big decision (The Lovers reversed), and keep pushing forward (The Chariot). Could be about work, love, life in general… who knows?
I wrote down the cards and their general meanings in my journal. It’s kind of a fun little snapshot of where my head’s at today. Will it all magically come true? Probably not. But it was a cool exercise, and it definitely got me thinking.
Will I become a full-on tarot reader? I am not quite sure about that. I don’t have any desire for * will I pull a few cards again sometime? Yeah, probably. It’s a neat way to spark a little introspection, and let’s be real, who doesn’t love a bit of mystery?
