Easy Guide to Feng Shui Buddha Statue Placement at Home

Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… what was it? Feng Shui Buddha, yeah, that’s it. Folks say it brings good stuff to your house, like luck and happiness, you know? Like when you plant them beans and they grow real big and strong, same kinda thing, I guess.

So, first things first, where you gonna put this Buddha fella? Don’t just stick him anywhere like a lost sock! You gotta treat him nice, real nice. Put him where you can see him when you walk in the door, but not right smack-dab in front of it, ya hear? That’s like staring someone down, rude, you know? Buddha don’t like rude. He likes a little respect.

Some smarty-pants folks say put him on a table, about, uh, let me see… my table’s about this high, so maybe yeah…they say about 80 centimeters high. That’s… a little shorter than my table, I reckon. Anyway, high enough so you don’t gotta bend down and look at him like he’s a bug. And make sure he’s facing the door, but kinda angled, you see? Like he’s welcoming folks in, not giving them the evil eye. He’s all about peace and quiet, not scaring the bejesus outta ya.

  • Now, there’s all sorts of Buddhas, too.
  • Some standing, some sitting, some with their hands all fancy-like.
  • I saw one once, hand up like he’s saying “hold your horses!” They call it, uh, Ah-buh-yah Mudra, I think. Means “no fear,” they say.
  • Good for folks who get scared easy, I guess.
  • Like my grandson, scared of spiders the size of a fingernail. Maybe he needs one of them Buddhas, hah!

And don’t you go putting him in the bathroom, for crying out loud! That’s just plain disrespectful. Or in the bedroom, neither. Buddha needs his space, and you need yours. It’s like when you’re baking a pie, you don’t want everyone crowding around the oven, right? Same thing. Give the man some breathing room.

Some folks say put him in the living room, where everyone hangs out. That makes sense, I guess. Bring good vibes to the whole house. Or in your meditation room, if you’re one of them fancy folks who meditates. I just sit on the porch and watch the chickens, that’s my meditation. But you do you.

And keep him clean, will ya? Don’t let him get all dusty and cobwebby. That’s like letting your house get all messy, nobody wants that. Wipe him down every now and then, show him you care. It’s like watering them flowers, gotta give them a little love to keep them blooming.

And don’t go thinking just putting a Buddha in your house is gonna magically make everything perfect. You gotta work for it, too. Be kind, be generous, be a good person. Buddha ain’t got no magic wand, ya know. He’s just there to remind you to be a good soul. Like my grandma used to say, you reap what you sow.

So, there you have it. Feng Shui Buddha, not so complicated, right? Just treat him nice, put him in a good spot, and be a good person. That’s all there is to it. And if you don’t get it right the first time, don’t worry. Just move him around till it feels right. It’s like finding the right spot for your rocking chair, gotta wiggle around a bit till you find that comfy place.

Now, go on and get yourself a Buddha and bring some good juju into your home. But remember, it ain’t just about the statue, it’s about what’s in your heart. Be good, and good things will come. That’s the real secret, not just some fancy statue, ya hear?
