Okay, so I’ve been getting into Tarot lately, and I wanted a quick way to get a “yes” or “no” answer without having to do a full spread. I figured, why not just make a list of cards that lean one way or the other? So, that’s exactly what I did.
First, I grabbed my trusty Rider-Waite deck. I mean, it’s the classic, right? Gotta start somewhere. Then I went through each card, one by one. I laid them all out on my table, Major Arcana first, then the Minors.
Major Arcana Decisions
I started with the big guys, the Major Arcana. Some were super obvious. Like, The Wheel of Fortune? Definitely a “yes” vibe. The Tower? Big “no” energy. Others were trickier. I spent a good while just staring at The Hermit, trying to figure out if it was a “yes,” “no,” or a “maybe.” Eventually, I decided it was more of a “rethink your question” card.
Minor Arcana Sorting
- Wands: Mostly “yes,” especially the Ace and the Six of Wands. Fiery energy, you know?
- Cups: This was all over the place. I put the Two of Cups and Ten of Cups in the “yes” pile, but others, like the Five of Cups, were a definite “no.”
- Swords: Oof, tough one. Mostly “no” cards here, with all the conflict and tough decisions. But the Ace of Swords, I figured that could be a “yes” if you’re looking for clarity.
- Pentacles: This was the most “maybe” of the bunch. A lot of it depends on the context. But generally, I leaned “yes” for cards like the Nine and Ten of Pentacles, which show abundance.
The Maybe List
I created a separate “maybe” pile too. Let’s be real, not every question has a clear yes or no answer. Cards like The High Priestess and The Chariot ended up here. They felt more like, “It depends on what you do.”
I typed it all up in a simple list on my phone. Now, when I need a quick answer, I just shuffle my deck, pull a card, and check my list. It’s not foolproof, but it’s been a fun way to get more familiar with the cards and their energies.
It is a fun and quick way that I found, hope you can enjoy it!
