Alright, so the other day, I got this idea to check out those free tarot card reading websites. You see them advertised all over the place, and I was just kinda curious, you know? Thought I’d spend a bit of time and see what they were all about.
My Little Experiment: Diving In
So, first thing I did was just hop on my computer and search for ‘free tarot reading’. And wow, a whole bunch of options came up. Some sites looked pretty slick, others were more basic. I decided I’d try out three different ones, just to see if there was any difference and get a feel for it.
For each site, the process was pretty similar when I got down to it:
- Usually, they’d ask me to type in a question I had, or sometimes just to ‘focus my energy’ on something specific.
- Then, I’d have to click on a digital deck of cards, or pick a certain number of cards from the screen.
- After that, the site would do its thing, ‘process’ my choices, and then spit out a reading for me.
What I Found With These Free Readings
So, the first site I landed on. I went through the motions, clicked my cards, and waited a second. Then the reading popped up. Honestly, it was super general. Stuff like ‘you might be facing a choice soon’ or ‘expect some changes in your path’. You know, things that could apply to pretty much anyone at any time. Didn’t feel very personal to me at all.
Then I moved on and went to the second site. It had a different layout, different card graphics, which was a small change. But the actual reading? Pretty much the same story as the first one. More vague statements. I got something like, ‘A new opportunity could be around the corner if you look for it.’ Okay, great, but not exactly groundbreaking stuff for what’s supposed to be a ‘personal’ reading, right?
The third site I tried was a bit more interactive, I’ll give it that. It had some fancy animations when the cards were ‘dealt’ on the screen. That was kind of neat to watch, I guess. But when it came down to the actual interpretation of the cards and what they meant for me, it was, again, very broad. Nothing in there made me go ‘Wow, how did it know that specific thing about me?!’
My overall feeling after trying these three free tarot services? Well, they’re ‘free,’ and I suppose you get what you don’t pay for in this case. It’s a bit of harmless fun if you’ve got a few minutes to spare, kind of like cracking open a fortune cookie at a restaurant. But if you’re looking for some deep, specific guidance or real insight into your life, these free online things probably aren’t the way to go, based on my experience.
It really felt like most of them were just teasers. You get this very basic, cookie-cutter reading, and then, very conveniently, there’s always a big button or a link trying to get you to sign up for a ‘full,’ ‘in-depth,’ or ‘personal’ paid reading with a ‘real’ psychic or tarot reader. So, the free part seems more like a hook to get you interested in their paid services.
I remember once, years ago, I was at some local fair and paid a few bucks for a quick ‘reading’ from someone set up at a table. It was kinda the same deal – very general advice, nothing too specific. These online freebies reminded me a lot of that. It feels like they’re built to give you just enough to make you curious for more, or maybe they just have a database of a hundred generic phrases and the program randomly picks a few to show you.
So yeah, that was my little adventure into the world of free online tarot readings. Didn’t uncover any ancient secrets or anything like that. If you’re bored and just want to click some stuff, give it a go, can’t hurt. But definitely keep your expectations in check. That’s my honest take after spending some time actually trying them out.
