Okay, so today I decided to try out one of those free online Celtic Cross tarot readings. I’ve always been a little curious about tarot, but I’ve never actually gotten a proper reading done. Figured I’d start with a free one and see how it goes. Here is the record of whole process!
Finding a Site
First things first, I needed to find a website. I just googled “free celtic cross tarot card reading” and, boom, tons of options popped up. I picked one that looked reasonably legit – you know, not too many flashing ads or crazy fonts. It had a clean design, so I went with it. It’s easy for me.
Getting Started
The site had a little intro about the Celtic Cross spread, explaining what each card position represents – you know, like “present,” “challenges,” “past,” “future,” that kind of thing. It was pretty basic, but enough for a newbie like me to get it.
Shuffling (Virtually)
Next, I had to “shuffle” the virtual deck. The site had a button that said “Shuffle the Cards,” and I just had to put my hand and focus.
I tried to clear my mind and think about my question. I didn’t have anything super specific in mind, just kind of a general “what’s going on in my life right now?” vibe.
Picking the Cards
After the shuffling animation, the cards were laid out face down. I had to click on ten cards, one at a time, and they would be placed in the Celtic Cross pattern. I took my time with this, hovering over each card for a second before clicking. Trying to feel the “energy,” haha.
Reading the Results
Once all the cards were laid out, the site showed the image of each card and a short description of its meaning. Some of them were pretty straightforward, like “The Lovers” card popping up in the “relationships” position. Okay, got it.
And some card meanings really capture my mind.
But some were a bit more cryptic, and I had to read the descriptions a couple of times to figure out how they might apply to my life. There was one card, I think it was “The Wheel of Fortune,” that talked about cycles and change, which felt relevant because I’ve been feeling a bit restless lately.
My Overall Impression
- Pros: It was free, easy to use, and gave me some food for thought. It was also kind of fun, like playing a little game.
- Cons: It felt a bit impersonal, obviously. And the interpretations were pretty generic. I’m not sure how much I really “connected” with the reading, you know?
Final Thoughts
Honestly, it was a fun little experiment. I don’t think I’m suddenly a tarot believer, but it did give me a few things to think about. Maybe it’s just the power of suggestion, but reading those card descriptions did make me reflect on some stuff going on in my life. I might even try another free reading on a different site, just to see if I get similar results.
It’s not something I’d rely on for major life decisions, but as a way to get a little bit of self-reflection, it wasn’t bad.
