Okay, so I decided to try out one of those “free three card tarot readings” online today. I’ve always been a little curious about tarot, but never really took the plunge. Figured a free online reading would be a harmless way to dip my toes in.
First, I searched for “free three card tarot reading” and a bunch of sites popped up. I just picked one that looked reasonably legit – not too many flashing ads or anything. It had a simple layout, which I appreciated.
The Process
The site I chose had me focus on a question I had. I decided to ask about my career path, since that’s been on my mind a lot lately. So, I typed in something vague like, “What should I be focusing on in my career right now?”
Then, I clicked on a virtual deck of cards. They were all face down, and I had to pick three. The site had this little animation that made it feel like I was actually shuffling and drawing cards, which was kind of fun, I guess.
- First Card: This one was supposed to represent the past. I got the “Five of Pentacles,” which, according to the site’s interpretation, means feeling left out in the cold, financial hardship, or a sense of lack. Okay, yeah, I can relate to that a bit, with some past job struggles.
- Second Card: This was the present situation. I drew “The Lovers.” The explanation talked about choices, partnerships, and aligning with my values. That actually resonated quite a bit, as I’m currently weighing up a couple of different job opportunities.
- Third Card: And this was the potential future. I got the “Nine of Cups.” The site said this card is all about wishes fulfilled, satisfaction, and emotional contentment. Well, that sounds pretty good! A little too good to be true, maybe?
My Thoughts
Honestly, the whole thing was…interesting. The interpretations were vague enough that they could probably apply to anyone, but specific enough that I could see how they related to my own situation. I’m not sure I’m a total believer now, but it did give me a few things to think about. Maybe I’ll look a bit more into the meanings of those cards and see if there’s anything I can apply to my current career dilemma. I’m not going to base any major life decisions on it, but it was a fun little experiment!
