Horoscopes in Japanese: Your Ultimate Guide to Love, Luck, and Life!

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole Japanese horoscope thing, right? It’s called “eto” in Japanese, and it’s pretty wild. You see, I started by digging into what it actually is. Turns out, it’s based on the Chinese zodiac, but with a few twists.

First off, I needed to figure out the basics. They’ve got these 12 animals: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and this wild boar thing. I went through each one, trying to see if any of them felt like me.

Then, I discovered there’s this whole other layer with elements – earth, wood, fire, you know, the usual. So, I dove into that, trying to match up my birth year with both an animal and an element. It got pretty complicated, I won’t lie.

Some say certain signs are luckier

I also stumbled upon some stuff about certain signs being luckier than others. Like, apparently, Sagittarius, Pisces, and Leo are the chosen ones. That got me thinking about whether my sign is considered one of the “lucky” ones. Some random site mentioned that Pisces is lucky in love.

But then, there is numerology in Japanese horoscopes. For instance, if I add up the digits of my birth date and keep reducing it to a single digit, I get my Japanese zodiac number. I tried it out, and now I have my number. But, you know, it is hard to tell what it means, really.

It’s a mix of animals and elements

  • I learned that they use this system to predict all sorts of things, from personality traits to compatibility with others.
  • I even found out that some people in Japan take this stuff pretty seriously.
  • I checked out how to do a basic reading, and let me tell you, it’s way more involved than just knowing your animal.

I ended up spending hours on this, and I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. But hey, it’s been a fun ride. It’s crazy how different cultures have their own ways of understanding the stars and our place in the universe, right? It is one of those things that when you start, you cannot stop.
