Okay, so I wanted to really get into tarot, and I figured a good place to start was with the individual cards. Today, I decided to tackle the Knave of Tarot, also known as the Page in some decks. Here’s how it went down:
Diving In
First, I grabbed my trusty deck – the one I’ve had for years but haven’t really used used, you know? I pulled out the Knave (Page) of Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles. I figured I needed to see them all to get a good feel.
Getting a Feel for the Cards
I laid them out on my kitchen table, which, admittedly, still had some breakfast crumbs on it. Oops. Anyway, I just stared at them for a bit. I tried to clear my mind and just…see what came up.
- Knave/Page of Wands: This one felt fiery, you know? Like a kid with a sparkler, full of ideas but maybe not a lot of follow-through. I jotted down “new ideas,” “enthusiasm,” and “potential.”
- Knave/Page of Swords: This one was sharper. Kind of like a curious kid, maybe a little too eager to ask “why” about everything. I wrote down “curiosity,” “new information,” “mental agility.”
- Knave/Page of Cups: This card gave me the feeling of a sweet kid or somebody artistic. The picture is literally haveing a fish jump out from the cup! It’s very creative! I put down: exploring emotions, “creativity.”
- Knave/Page of Pentacles: This one felt grounded. practical. I wrote down “new opportunity, “”manifestation, “”learning.”
Putting it All Together
After looking at each card, I tried to see the Knave/page as a whole. It seemed like a card about beginnings, about being open to new things, whether they’re ideas, feelings, opportunities, or whatever. It’s about being a student of life, I guess.
My Takeaway
I’m still super new to this, but I felt like I got a little closer to understanding the Knave today. It wasn’t some magical revelation, but more like…getting to know a new acquaintance. I’m definitely going to keep pulling this card and seeing how it plays out in my readings. Maybe next time I’ll even clear the table first!
