Learn About The Significator Card Tarot – A Beginners Guide to Tarot Meanings

So, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, and I gotta say, figuring out this whole “significator” thing really threw me for a loop at first. But I finally nailed it down, and I wanna share how I got there. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be, honestly.

First off, what even is a significator?

Basically, it’s a card you pick out from the deck before you even start your reading. It’s supposed to, like, represent you, or the person you’re reading for, or sometimes even the situation you’re asking about. Think of it as the anchor for your reading.

Why bother with it?

Well, some folks say you don’t absolutely need one, but for me, I found it really helps to ground the reading. It makes the cards feel more connected to what’s actually going on, you know?

My Journey to figuring this out

At first, I was just randomly picking a card. Like, whatever card felt “right” in the moment. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it felt totally off. I tried picking based on my zodiac sign or the person’s, then I watched others’ videos to learn how they chose it. Total crapshoot. It was frustrating because the readings felt, well, random.

Then I started digging a little deeper. I read some stuff online, watched some videos, all that jazz. I realized I had to actually put some thought into this!

  • I started by shuffling the deck, really focusing on the question I had or the person I was reading for.
  • Then, I started pulling the cards one by one, and checked it. And kept it in my mind.
  • I would pick the cards that resonate with me or the situation, maybe three or five. I put those cards together and thought about the meaning of them.
  • Finally I selected one card that stood out the most. That was my significator!

It took some practice, but I started getting a feel for which card really represented the core of the issue. It wasn’t just about the pretty picture on the card, it was about the meaning, the symbolism, the whole vibe.

Once I started using this method, my readings became way more accurate. They felt more personal, more insightful. It was like the cards were actually talking to me, not just spitting out random meanings.

So, yeah, choosing a significator card might seem like a small thing, but it made a huge difference for me. It’s like the foundation of the whole reading. If you’re just starting out with tarot, I definitely recommend giving it a try. It might take some time to get the hang of it, but trust me, it’s worth it!

I tried to keep this sharing easy to understand. I hope you guys can get what I mean. Anyway, keep trying, and you will find it!
