Learn Numerology in Tarot: Beginners tips meanings

Okay, here’s my blog post about my numerology and Tarot experiment:

So, I’ve been messing around with Tarot cards for a while, and I’m always looking for new ways to spice things up, you know? Get a little deeper into the readings. I stumbled upon this “numerology in Tarot” thing and thought, “Why not?” I’m no expert, but I love to explore the connection, let’s get a deeper dive.

Getting Started

First, I grabbed my trusty deck and a notebook. The basic idea is that each card in the Tarot is associated with a number, and those numbers have their own meanings, just like in regular numerology. It’s like adding another layer of interpretation to the cards.

I laid out a simple three-card spread: past, present, and future. Nothing fancy, just wanted to get a feel for how this numerology thing works in practice.

Diving into Number

  • Card 1 (Past): The Chariot (VII). Number 7, it’s all about willpower, determination, overcoming obstacles. Made sense, I’d been pushing through some tough stuff lately.
  • Card 2 (Present): The Lovers (VI). Number 6. Harmony, choices, relationships. Yeah, I’m at a bit of a crossroads in my personal life, so that resonated.
  • Card 3 (Future): The Star (XVII). Ok, this is a two-digit number, so I have to use this basic rule “reducing” them to a single digit. Which is 1 + 7 = 8. Number 8. It’s mean power, abundance, and recognition. I take the rule to calculate it. Sounds promising!

Putting It All Together

I spent some time journaling about each card, not just the usual Tarot meanings, but also focusing on the numerological aspects. For example, with The Chariot (7), I thought about how I’d been using my willpower (or maybe not using it enough!) to get through recent challenges. I really feel my determination, and I make a plan for how to get through it.

It was interesting to see how the numbers added another dimension to the reading. Like, with The Lovers (6), the number 6 made me think more deeply about the balance (or imbalance) in my relationships, not just the romantic aspects.

My First Try Result

Honestly, it felt like the numerology part gave me a bit more clarity. It wasn’t a huge “aha!” moment, but it was like adding a subtle highlight to certain parts of the reading. It gave the whole thing a bit more… depth, I guess?

I’m definitely going to keep playing around with this. I think it’s a cool way to get a fresh perspective on the cards, especially if you’re feeling a bit stuck in your usual interpretations. Maybe next time, I am going to try a bigger spread and see how the numbers interact with each other.
