Medicine Woman Tarot Deck Meanings: Explore the Cards

So, I’ve been kinda into this whole tarot thing for a bit now, and I finally went and got myself a deck. It’s called the “Medicine Woman Tarot Deck”. This deck felt right up my alley.

First off, I did some digging online to see what this deck was all about. Turns out, it was made by this lady named Carol Bridges. People online were saying stuff like it’s a journey of self-discovery and it’s packed with ancient wisdom and symbols. I was like, “Okay, that sounds pretty cool.”

When I got the deck, the first thing I did was just look through all the cards. The artwork is really something else, super detailed and full of, like, nature and spiritual-looking stuff. It’s definitely not your average tarot deck, you know? It’s got this whole vibe that’s hard to explain.

Then I started trying to actually use the deck. I’m a total newbie at this, so I followed the little booklet that came with it. I learned how to shuffle the cards, how to lay them out in different spreads, and what each card is supposed to mean. It’s a lot to take in, to be honest.

  • Shuffling: I tried to shuffle them like regular playing cards, but it didn’t feel right. Then I found out you’re supposed to kind of spread them out on the table and mix them around. It felt a bit weird, but I went with it.
  • Spreads: The booklet showed a few different spreads, like the Celtic Cross and a simple three-card spread. I started with the three-card one because it seemed easier.
  • Reading the cards: This is where it got tricky. Each card has so many meanings, and you have to use your intuition and all that. I tried to just go with my gut feeling, but it wasn’t easy.

I did a few readings for myself, just asking general questions about my life and stuff. It was kind of hit-or-miss. Sometimes the cards seemed to make sense, and other times I was just totally confused. I guess it takes practice, right?

Trying to Connect

I also tried this thing where you’re supposed to meditate with the cards to connect with their energy. I’m not really a meditation person, but I gave it a shot. I just sat there with the cards in my hands, trying to clear my mind and focus on the images. It was kind of relaxing, I guess, but I didn’t really feel any special connection or anything.

Overall, it’s been an interesting experience. I’m still not sure what I think about tarot, but this Medicine Woman deck is definitely cool. I’m going to keep practicing and see if I can get better at reading the cards. It’s like a whole new world to explore. Who knows, maybe I’ll even start doing readings for other people someday.

It’s been a wild ride so far, and I’m excited to see where this tarot thing takes me. It’s definitely not something I expected to get into, but hey, life’s full of surprises, right?
