Okay, so I’ve been feeling a bit lost about my career lately. Like, am I on the right path? Should I be looking for something new? It’s been this nagging feeling that I just couldn’t shake. So, I decided to try something a little different – a career tarot spread. I’ve dabbled in tarot before, mostly for fun, but I figured, why not see if it could offer some insight?
First things first, I needed to find a good spread. I didn’t want anything too complicated, just something straightforward that could give me some basic guidance. I did a bit of digging around online, and I came across a few different options, but I finally settled a “career tarot spread”.
Getting Started
I cleared a space on my desk, made sure it was all tidy and nice. I like having a clean space when I’m doing anything tarot-related. Then, I grabbed my favorite tarot deck – the one I usually go to when I need some serious guidance. I shuffled the cards, really focusing on my career questions. I asked myself, “What do I need to know about my current career path?” and “What steps should I be taking right now?”
The Reading
I laid out the cards according to the spread.
- Card 1: Current Situation.
- Card 2: What I need to know.
- Card 3: What obstacles block me.
- Card 4: My strength for the furture.
- Card 5: My advice.
I slowly flipped over each card, one by one, taking a moment to really look at the imagery and see what feelings or thoughts came up. I jotted down my initial impressions in my notebook. I didn’t want to overthink it too much at this stage, just get my raw reactions down.
Making Sense of It All
After I had all the cards laid out and my initial notes down, I started to piece it all together. I looked for connections between the cards, how they related to each other, and how they answered my questions. Some of it was pretty clear, almost like a direct answer. Other parts were a bit more symbolic, and I had to sit with it for a while, thinking about what it might mean in the context of my career.
For example, one card might have suggested that I was feeling stagnant in my current role (which was totally true!), while another pointed towards a need for more creativity and collaboration. It wasn’t like a magic bullet that solved all my problems, but it definitely gave me some food for thought. And I realized this card show me some blind side I never pay attention.
Taking Action
The final step, and probably the most important, was figuring out how to apply this reading to my actual life. The tarot isn’t about predicting the future, it’s about giving you tools and insights to create the future you want. So, I spent some time brainstorming some concrete actions I could take based on the reading. I also need pay more attention on my block and find out my strength to achieve my goal.
It was actually a really helpful experience, a simple career spread can do so much help. It didn’t magically tell me what job to take, but it did give me a new perspective on my situation and helped me identify some areas where I could focus my energy. I’m definitely going to keep doing these readings, maybe once a month or so, just to check in with myself and see how things are progressing.
