Okay, so I’ve been getting really into tarot lately, and I’m always looking for ways to, like, make more money, you know? So I thought, why not combine the two? I decided to try out some tarot spreads specifically for financial questions.
First, I needed to figure out what I even wanted to ask. I mean, “Will I be rich?” is kinda vague, right? I decided to focus on my freelance work. My income has been a little up and down, so I wanted some clarity.
I did some digging around online and found a few spreads that looked promising. I grabbed my favorite deck – the one with the pretty watercolor illustrations – and got comfy on my living room floor.
The Spreads I Tried
The first one was a simple three-card spread.
- Card 1: The current state of my finances.
- Card 2: Obstacles in my way.
- Card 3: Advice for improvement.
I shuffled the deck, really focusing on my question about my freelance income. I pulled the cards and… okay, it was a little freaky. The first card, the current state, was The Wheel of Fortune. I was literally experiencing a rollercoaster of ups and downs recently. The obstacle card was the Five of Pentacles – which is a really common card for feeling a lack of resource, a time for feeling finacially insecure. Yep, that’s me. The advice card? The Ace of Pentacles. New beginnings, potential for prosperity! That felt encouraging.
Then I tried a slightly more complex, five-card spread.
- Card 1: My current financial situation.
- Card 2: What’s blocking my financial flow?
- Card 3: What can help my financial flow?
- Card 4: My financial potential.
- Card 5: Likely financial outcome.
This one was even more interesting. I won’t bore you with every single detail, but the gist was that I was holding myself back by being afraid to ask for what I’m worth (hello, Queen of Swords reversed!). It suggested I needed to be more confident and assertive (Three of Wands). The potential and outcome cards were both super positive – The Sun and The Ten of Pentacles! Basically, it pointed towards success and abundance if I could overcome my fear of putting myself out there.
My Takeaway
It was super helpful to see my situation laid out like that. It wasn’t just some woo-woo fortune-telling thing. The cards helped me to see patterns, confront my own limiting beliefs, and gave me a lot to think about. I realized that my inconsistent income, it’s partly my own mindset holding me back.
I’m still working on implementing the “advice,” but I’ve already started being more proactive about seeking out higher-paying clients and negotiating my rates. I’m even taking a course on business skills for freelancers!
So, yeah, I’m definitely a fan of using tarot for financial questions. It’s not a magic solution, but it’s a great tool for self-reflection and gaining a new perspective. It helped me, at least, and I’m excited to keep experimenting!
