- Life Path Number: This one’s all about your birth date. You add up all the digits, and then keep reducing it until you get a single digit (or a master number like 11, 22, or 33).
- Expression Number: This is where it gets a little more involved. Each letter of your full birth name corresponds to a number (A=1, B=2, and so on). You add up all those numbers for each name, reduce them individually, and then add those reduced numbers together, reducing that until you have a single digit or master number.

I wrote down my birth date and started adding. It went something like this:
Month + Day+Year… reduce, reduce, reduce… boom, I got my Life Path Number. It’s a single digit. I should write it down, for record.
Next, the Expression Number. Oh boy, this took a minute. I carefully wrote out my full birth name, and then assigned each letter its corresponding number. It took a few tries, and lots of double-checking , finally, I arrived at my Expression Number.
Putting It All Together
Now for the grand finale! I took my Life Path Number and my Expression Number and added them together. One last reduction, and… there it was, my Maturity Number!.
The Meaning of My Maturity Number
I won’t bore you with the exact meaning that matches my number. What I realized, though, is that it felt surprisingly…accurate, after I get the meaning from some books and pages. It described some core desires and challenges that I’ve definitely been feeling, especially as I get older. It’s like a little roadmap for personal growth, pointing out the things I should be focusing on to reach my full potential.
