Tarot Card Reading for Relationship: Expert Guidance Available!

Okay, here’s my blog post about doing a tarot card reading for a relationship:

So, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, mostly just for fun and self-reflection. But the other day, a friend was having some, uh, dramas in her relationship, and she asked if I could do a reading for her. I was like, “Sure, why not?” I’m no expert, but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

First, I cleared my space. I’m a big believer in energy, and I didn’t want any leftover vibes from my last reading (which was about whether or not I should buy those really expensive shoes… I didn’t, by the way). I just tidied up my table, lit a candle, and took a few deep breaths. Nothing fancy.

Then, I had my friend shuffle the deck while thinking about her relationship. She focused on the general situation, not a specific question. I find that works best when you’re looking for overall guidance. While she was shuffling, I was kinda grounding myself, you know, just trying to be present and open.

The Spread

I used a simple three-card spread, because, let’s be real, I’m still learning. I’m not ready for those ten-card Celtic Cross spreads yet! This one was:

  • Card 1: The foundation of the relationship.
  • Card 2: The current challenge or obstacle.
  • Card 3: The potential outcome or advice.

I placed the cards face down, and my friend choose to the cards.

Card 1 was the Two of Cups. Which, you know, is pretty much the relationship card. I took that as a good sign! It suggested their connection was strong and based on mutual respect and attraction.

Card 2 was the Five of Swords. Oof. This one’s a bit rough. It often points to conflict, arguments, and maybe even some underhandedness. It felt like it validated her feelings about the “dramas” she was experiencing. It suggests disagreements, tension, and maybe a bit of a power struggle.

Card 3 was the Strength card. This card is all about inner strength, courage, and compassion. I interpreted this as needing to approach the situation with a gentle but firm hand. Instead of fighting fire with fire, it suggested finding a way to be the bigger person and address things calmly and with understanding.

I explained all of this to my friend, making sure to emphasize that tarot isn’t about predicting the future with 100% accuracy. It’s more about gaining insight and perspective. It’s like a little nudge in a certain direction, not a written-in-stone prophecy.

She seemed to find it helpful. It gave her some things to think about, and maybe a new way to approach the situation. Honestly, even just talking it through while looking at the cards felt therapeutic, for both of us. I finished and put the cards and tools away, clean up.

My biggest takeaway? Tarot readings, even simple ones, can be a powerful tool for opening up communication and exploring different perspectives. I’m definitely going to keep practicing!
