Tarot Reading for Conflict Resolution: Simple Steps to Find Peace

Okay, so the other day, I got into this kinda messy argument with my friend. We just couldn’t see eye to eye, and it was getting pretty heated. I was racking my brain, trying to figure out how to smooth things over, and then it hit me – why not try a tarot reading? I’ve dabbled in tarot before, mostly for fun, but I thought, hey, maybe it could offer some insight here.

So, I grabbed my deck. First things, I took some time to calm down and think and shuffled the cards, really focusing on the conflict and what I wanted to understand about it. I wasn’t looking for a magic solution, more like a different perspective, you know?

The Spread

I decided to go with a simple three-card spread. Nothing too fancy, just something to give me a basic overview. I laid out the cards, and here’s what I got:

  • Card 1: The Situation – This card represents the heart of the conflict, the core issue.
  • Card 2: My Role – This card shows my part in the conflict, my actions and reactions.
  • Card 3: Path to Resolution – This card is about a way to overcome conflict.

I flipped over the first card, “The Situation”. I get the two of cups reversed. This tells me there is indeed a problem with the connection and the flow between the two of us.

Then, the second card,”My Role”. I got a seven of swords. This card is pretty straight. I am not being honest to myself or to my friend. I really do not like this card.

The last card, “Path to Resolution” is The Star. What a contrast to the last card! It feels like there is hope to overcome this. I need to take on the energy of the card. It’s about being open, vulnerable, and having faith in a positive outcome.

After laying out the cards, I just sat there for a while, looking at them and thinking about what each one could mean in the context of my argument. I jotted down some notes in my journal, trying to connect the cards to the real-life situation.

The reading didn’t magically solve everything, but it gave me a new way to think my feelings. I realized I maybe hadn’t been as understanding as I could have been, and that there was a way forward if I was willing to be open and honest. It was a starting point, and that’s what I needed.

Later that week, I reached out to my friend. I didn’t bring up the tarot reading specifically, that is not my style. I just started with the reflection I get from the reading, to communicate, and listen. It wasn’t easy, but it was a start. We’re still working through things, but the conversation is flowing again, and that’s a huge step in the right direction.
