Okay, so I’ve been diving deeper into Tarot lately, and today I really wanted to get a handle on the Princess of Wands. I’ve been pulling this card a lot recently, so I figured it was time to really understand what she’s all about.
I started by just sitting with the card. I mean, really looking at it. I use the Rider-Waite deck, and the imagery is so rich. This Princess, she’s standing there, all fiery and confident, with that wand held high. You can practically feel the energy radiating off her.
Getting to Know the Princess
I pulled out my favorite Tarot journal and a pen. First, I just free-wrote. What feelings did the card evoke? What did I think she was trying to tell me? I jotted down words like “passion,” “new beginnings,” “taking action,” and “don’t be afraid to shine.” It felt like a pep talk, honestly.
Next, I did a little digging. I’ve got a few Tarot books, and I also checked out some stuff online (being careful to stick to reliable sources, of course). This helped me see how my initial impressions lined up with the more “traditional” meanings. Turns out, I was pretty on track!
- Passion & Creativity: This was a big one. The Princess of Wands is all about that spark, that drive to create and express yourself.
- New Adventures: She’s not afraid to step into the unknown. This card can signal the start of a new project, a new relationship, or just a new phase of life.
- Boldness & Confidence: She’s got this “I can do anything” vibe, which is super inspiring.
Then, I wanted to connect this to my own life. I’ve been feeling this itch to start a new creative project (a blog, actually!), and I’ve been hesitating. Seeing the Princess of Wands again and again felt like the universe was giving me a nudge (or maybe a shove!).
So, I made a plan. I outlined some blog post ideas, brainstormed a name, and even started playing around with some design concepts. It felt good to be taking concrete steps, instead of just thinking about it.
The Princess of Wands, for me, is a reminder to embrace that inner fire. It’s okay to be bold, to be enthusiastic, to chase after what excites you. It’s a card of action, and it definitely inspired me to take some today! I am going to make an effort to channel that Princess energy whenever I am working on my blog.
