The Queen Tarot Card: A Beginners Guide to Its Meanings.

Okay, so today I decided to mess around with tarot cards, specifically focusing on the Queen cards. I’ve always been drawn to the imagery and symbolism in tarot, and I figured, why not try to understand them better?

Getting Started

First, I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck that I’ve had for a while. I shuffled the cards a few times, just kind of getting a feel for them, you know? Then, I laid them out face down on my table.

Focusing on the Queens

I knew I wanted to look at the Queens, so I started flipping cards until I found all four of them: the Queen of Wands, Queen of Cups, Queen of Swords, and Queen of Pentacles. I placed them side-by-side so I could really compare them.

Digging into the Details

  • Queen of Wands: This one’s got a sunflower, a black cat, and she’s sitting on a throne with lions. I noticed she looks pretty confident and fiery.
  • Queen of Cups: She’s holding a fancy cup with handles that look like angels, and she’s by the water. She seems more emotional and intuitive.
  • Queen of Swords: She’s holding a sword up high, and there’s a bird flying around. This Queen looks super sharp and maybe a little intimidating.
  • Queen of Pentacles: She’s surrounded by nature, holding a coin, and there’s a rabbit nearby. She seems very grounded and nurturing.

My Takeaway.

After I had spent some time with them I started to write down my feelings,I realized that after today’s practice, the Queens represent different aspects of feminine energy, from passion and creativity to emotions, intellect, and practicality. It was a cool way to think about how those qualities show up in my own life.I think I’ll try pulling a Queen card each morning to see what kind of energy I should focus on for the day!
