Well, let me tell ya ’bout this feng shui dog thing. I ain’t no scholar or nothin’, but I heard folks talkin’ and I seen some things, so I’ll tell ya what I know.

First off, they call it a Foo Dog, or somethin’ like that. Sounds fancy, huh? But it ain’t no regular dog, mind you. It’s like a mix of a lion and a dog, all mushed together. Kinda scary lookin’, if you ask me, but folks say it’s supposed to bring good luck.
Now, this feng shui, that’s another thing. It’s all about how you put things in your house, see? Like where your bed goes, where your stove sits… that kinda stuff. They say if you get it right, good things happen. If you get it wrong, well, then you might be in a pickle.
So, this Foo Dog, they say you gotta put it in the right place. Like, by your work desk, if you wanna make more money. Or in your livin’ room, so the whole family gets some good luck. Some folks even put it on top of their safe, I guess to keep the money safe and sound, and bring more in. Makes sense, I reckon.
- Put it by your desk for good work luck.
- Put it in the living room for family luck.
- Put it on your safe for money luck.
But here’s the thing, you can’t just plop it down anywhere. There’s rules, ya know? Like, you ain’t supposed to put it in your bedroom. Especially not starin’ right at your bed. That just ain’t right. I heard it can mess with your sleep, make you have bad dreams, or worse.
And mirrors, them mirrors are tricky. Don’t you go puttin’ that Foo Dog in front of a mirror! They say the reflection will bounce the good luck right outta your house. And ain’t nobody want that, right?

I heard tell that in Korea, they got this feng shui stuff too. They call it somethin’ else, but it’s the same idea. Livin’ in harmony with nature, they say. Sounds nice, don’t it? I guess they got their own rules for where to put things, and I bet they got somethin’ to say about them Foo Dogs too.
Now, some folks say this feng shui, it ain’t a guarantee. It ain’t like you put a Foo Dog in your house and BAM! you’re rich. Nah, it’s more like… it sets the stage, ya know? It makes things a little easier for good things to happen. Like plantin’ a seed in good soil, I guess. You still gotta water it and take care of it, but at least it’s got a good start.
And that’s what I know about this feng shui dog. It ain’t much, but it’s honest. You do what you think is right, and maybe, just maybe, that Foo Dog will bring you a little bit of luck. But remember, hard work and good livin’, that’s the real secret to a good life. Ain’t no statue gonna do that for ya.
One more thing, I saw a fella down the street, had two of them Foo Dogs, one on each side of his door. Looked kinda grand, I gotta say. Maybe two is better than one? I don’t know, but it’s somethin’ to think about.
Anyway, that’s all I got to say about that. You take care now, ya hear?
