Three Card Tarot Meanings: Interpret Your Cards Today

So, I decided to pull some cards today. Just felt like it, you know? Sometimes you just get that itch. Grabbed my tarot deck – it’s a bit worn around the edges, seen better days, but feels right in my hands.

I didn’t have a big, dramatic question in mind. Just wanted a general vibe check, see what’s cooking. So, I sat down, took a few deep breaths, tried to clear my head. Easier said than done sometimes, right?

Started shuffling the cards. I shuffled them for a while, maybe longer than needed. I like the sound, the feel of them mixing. Cut the deck into three piles, then put them back together. Just felt like the right way to do it at that moment. No particular reason.

Laying Them Out

Then I pulled three cards off the top. Laid them out left to right.

  • The first card: This one felt like looking back. Something about the past, maybe a situation I thought I was done with. Looked kinda heavy, to be honest.
  • The second card: This was supposed to be the ‘now’. It seemed… confusing? Didn’t immediately click. Had to stare at it for a bit. Felt like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
  • The third card: The ‘what’s coming’ card. This one was actually a bit brighter. Didn’t promise sunshine and rainbows, but felt like movement, like things could shift if I actually did something about that second card’s sticky situation.

I just sat there looking at them for a good ten minutes. Didn’t consult any books this time. Just went with my gut feeling on what they were trying to say. Past baggage, feeling a bit stuck right now, but a chance to move forward if I put in the effort.

Overall thoughts? Yeah, it kinda resonated. Nothing earth-shattering, no lottery numbers revealed, unfortunately. But it did line up with some stuff I’ve been mulling over. It’s like the cards just laid out what I already knew deep down but maybe wasn’t admitting. Just seeing it there, in picture form, makes it… clearer? I guess.

Put the cards back together, stuck them in their box. Done for the day. It was a decent little check-in with myself. Sometimes just taking the time to do something like this helps untangle the thoughts a bit. We’ll see what happens with that third card, eh?
