Three of Clubs Tarot: Discover the Cards Meaning & More.

Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Tarot lately, and today was all about the Three of Clubs, or as some people call them, Wands. I wanted to really get this card, not just memorize some keywords.

First, I pulled out my trusty Rider-Waite deck. I just love the imagery on this one. I spent a good few minutes just staring at the card. You know, really letting it sink in. There’s this figure, back turned, looking out at ships sailing on the sea. They’ve got these three wands planted firmly in the ground.

Then, I grabbed my favorite Tarot journal and started jotting down my initial impressions. Things like “expansion,” “looking ahead,” “waiting for results,” and “exploration” came to mind. It felt like a card about having a solid foundation (those grounded wands!) but also being ready for what’s next.

I decided to do a little three-card spread for myself, just to see how the Three of Clubs played out in a real-life context. I asked a simple question: “What do I need to focus on this week to move forward with my creative projects?”

  • Card 1 (Situation): The Magician – Okay, this is about having the skills and resources. Makes sense!
  • Card 2 (Challenge): Five of Pentacles – Hmm, feeling a bit of lack, maybe worrying about resources or support.
  • Card 3 (Advice – Three of Clubs!): Here it is! It felt like the cards were telling me, “You’ve got the skills (Magician), don’t get bogged down by worries (Five of Pentacles). Look ahead, plan, and get ready to expand (Three of Clubs)!”

My Card Meaning:

After my reading, I combined my initial thoughts to a meaning of the Three of Clubs.

I wrote it down in my journel like this.

So, my Three of Clubs takeaway for the day? It’s a card of confident planning and looking to the future. It’s about having a solid base, but also being open to growth and new opportunities. It’s not about rushing headfirst into things, but about taking that first step with a sense of purpose and anticipation. It also reminds me that I need to be confident of moving forward, that I have resources and support.
