Unlock Past Lives: Discover Yourself with a Past Life Tarot Spread

Okay, so I’ve been getting really into tarot lately, and I stumbled upon this “Past Life” spread. I was like, “Whoa, that sounds intense,” but also super intriguing. I figured, why not give it a shot? So, I grabbed my deck, lit a candle (because, ambiance, you know?), and got comfy on the floor.

First, I shuffled the cards while trying to focus on the idea of past lives. I’m not gonna lie, it felt a little weird at first, like I was asking a really big question. I used a simple fan method to spread them on my table, it always helps me choose the right ones!

The Spread

Here’s how the spread is supposed to work, at least from what I gathered:

  • Card 1: Who you were in a past life.
  • Card 2: A major lesson you learned (or didn’t learn).
  • Card 3: A talent or skill you had.
  • Card 4: Something you’re carrying over into this life.
  • Card 5: How your past life is affecting your current life.

My Reading

So, I started picking the cards, one by one. It always makes me feel a little bit nervous, it’s a mistery about what is about to show!

  • Card 1 (Who I Was): I pulled The Hermit. My first thought was, “Okay, loner much?” But then I thought maybe it meant I was a wise person, someone who sought knowledge, maybe a scholar or a spiritual guide.

  • Card 2 (Major Lesson): The Tower. Yikes! That card is all about sudden change and upheaval. It felt like maybe I went through something really tough, a major life disruption, and maybe I didn’t handle it so well. Or maybe I learned to embrace change the hard way.

  • Card 3 (Talent/Skill): The Star. This one felt good! The Star is about hope, inspiration, and creativity. Maybe I was an artist, a healer, or someone who brought light to others. It definitely resonated with me.

  • Card 4 (Carry Over): The Lovers. Interesting! This card represents choices, relationships, and values. It made me think that maybe I’m still grappling with some big relationship choices or trying to figure out my core values in this life.

  • Card 5 (Past Life’s Effect): The Wheel of Fortune. This one is all about cycles, fate, and destiny. My interpretation was that my past life experiences, the ups and downs, are still influencing my current life path, pushing me in certain directions. It’s kind of an “A-HA” realization, you know.

The Results

Honestly, after doing this spread, I felt…thoughtful. I can’t say for sure if it was really about a past life, but it did give me some interesting things to ponder about myself and my current life patterns. It’s like, I felt this subtle connection to the imagery of the cards. It’s almost like I was given a language to start understanding some behaviors, and patters that are constantly present in my life.

I wrote it all down in my journal and I think I’ll revisit it in a few weeks to see if any of it resonates even more then. I might even try this spread again sometime, just to see what else might come up. It’s all a journey of self-discovery, right?
