Okay, so I’ve been getting into tarot lately, and I stumbled upon this deck called the Vanessa Moon Tarot. It looked super cool and vintage, so I decided to give it a try. Here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First things first, I ordered the deck online. When it arrived, I was so excited! I ripped open the package – carefully, of course, I didn’t want to damage the cards. The box itself was pretty neat, with this antique-looking design. I took the cards out, and they felt really nice in my hands – not too flimsy, not too stiff.
First Impressions
I spent some time just looking at the cards. The artwork is definitely unique. It’s kind of like old-timey photos mixed with, like, mystical symbols. Some of the cards were a little confusing at first, but the deck came with a small guidebook. So I flipped through that to get a better idea of what each card meant.
Doing a Reading
After I felt like I had a basic grasp of the cards, I decided to do a simple three-card spread – you know, past, present, future. I shuffled the deck really well, thinking about a question I had in my mind. It was something about a project I was working on.
- I laid out the first card, which represented the past. It was some lady holding a bunch of coins… I think. According to the guidebook, it had to do with material possessions or something.
- The second card, the present, was this guy with a sword. The book said it could mean conflict or making a tough decision.
- The third card, the future, was a bit more positive – a picture of a cup overflowing. The guidebook said that represented abundance and good things coming my way.
My Interpretation
So, putting it all together, I figured maybe the reading was saying that I’d been too focused on the practical side of my project (the coins), and now I was facing some challenges (the sword). But, if I made the right choices, things would turn out well in the end (the overflowing cup). It was kind of vague, but it also felt strangely accurate. I jotted down the reading in my notebook, along with my own thoughts on it.
Overall Thoughts
Honestly, using the Vanessa Moon Tarot was a pretty cool experience. Even if you’re not a big believer in the whole fortune-telling thing, it’s still a fun way to think about things from a different perspective. I’m definitely going to keep practicing with this deck and see what else I can learn!
