Alright, let’s talk about this Tarot Deck Dalí thing I got into. You know, I’ve always been kind of fascinated by both tarot cards and, of course, the works of Salvador Dalí. So, imagine my excitement when I found out that Dalí actually designed a tarot deck!
Getting Started
So, first things first, I had to get my hands on a deck. I started digging around, doing some research online. Turns out, this wasn’t just some recent creation. Also, I noticed that in the last year, tarot reading has become really trendy again, especially during the pandemic. It seemed like everyone was getting into it. Searches for tarot cards and how to read them went up like 50% in 2020 in the US alone!
Diving into Dalí’s Deck
When the deck finally arrived, man, it was something else. Each card was like a mini Dalí painting. Super surreal, full of all these symbols from tarot, astrology, religion, you name it. I mean, you’ve got your usual tarot suits, but with Dalí’s crazy twist on them. He even included himself and his wife in some of the cards. For example, he’s the Magician, and she’s the Empress. Pretty cool, huh? It felt like I was holding a piece of art history in my hands.
The Learning Curve
Now, I’m not gonna lie, figuring out how to actually use these cards was a whole different ball game. I mean, I’ve dabbled in tarot readings before, just for fun, but this was different. This deck is utilizing Waite’s delineations. I found some books and online guides specifically about Dalí’s deck, which helped a bit.
