Where can I find cute Cat Tarot decks? Check out these highly recommended shops for your cards.

So, I picked up this cat tarot deck a while back. Wasn’t really looking for a new deck, but the cat theme just grabbed me. Seemed like a fun, maybe less intense way to look at the cards.

Getting Started

First thing I did was just open the box and look through all the cards. The artwork was pretty cool, all kinds of cats acting out the different tarot scenes. Some looked serious, like little furry wizards, others were just being typical goofy cats. Spent a good hour just flipping through them, getting a feel for this specific deck’s energy. It definitely felt lighter, less formal than my regular deck.

Then came the shuffling. They were a bit stiff out of the box, needed breaking in. I just shuffled them over and over while watching TV one evening. Wanted to get my energy mixed in with them, you know? It felt a bit strange shuffling cards with cats batting yarn balls instead of the usual symbols, but I got used to it.

My First Reading

Okay, so after getting comfortable with them, I decided to do a simple reading. Didn’t have a massive question, just wanted to see what the cards would say about my general situation right now. Laid out a basic three-card spread: past, present, future kinda deal.

  • Card 1: This one showed a cat tangled up in a bunch of string. Felt pretty accurate for how things had been feeling lately, kinda stuck and messy.
  • Card 2: The present card was interesting. It was their take on maybe the Wheel of Fortune? Showed a cat perched on top of a spinning wheel, looking kinda uncertain but also curious. Seemed to fit, felt like things were shifting, could go good or bad. Destiny, luck, who knows, right? It just felt… up in the air.
  • Card 3: The future card was a cat confidently strutting along a fence. Looked like their version of The Fool maybe, but less about jumping off a cliff and more about just confidently going forward, exploring. Took that as a good sign, like, just keep moving, don’t overthink the tangled string from the first card.

Trying it Again

Did another reading a few days later. Just asked for some guidance on a small project I was working on. Pulled a card showing a cat meticulously grooming itself. I laughed, figured it meant I needed to pay more attention to the details, clean things up a bit before moving forward. It wasn’t some profound revelation, just simple, practical advice reflected through a cat’s behavior.

Final Thoughts

So yeah, using this cat tarot deck has been… different. It’s less about deep, mystical meanings for me and more about getting a fresh, sometimes funny perspective. The cat pictures make the interpretations feel more grounded, more relatable in a weird way. It doesn’t feel as heavy. Sometimes you pull a card and it’s just a cat being a cat, and that itself is the message – maybe relax, maybe be more playful, maybe pay attention to something small.

It’s become a deck I reach for when I want something lighter, or when my brain feels too cluttered for the traditional symbolism. It’s straightforward, no complex stuff to decode. Just cats. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
